Daniel Stenberg 44d84ac164 Avoid typecasting a signed char to an int when using is*() functions, as that 
could very well cause a negate number get passed in and thus cause reading
outside of the array usually used for this purpose.

We avoid this by using the uppercase macro versions introduced just now that
does some extra crazy typecasts to avoid byte codes > 127 to cause negative
int values.

Daniel Stenberg feb2dd2835 Replaced all uses of sprintf() with the safer snprintf(). It is just a 
precaution to prevent mistakes to lead to buffer overflows.

Daniel Stenberg c39858aac0 Source cleanups. The major one being that we now _always_ use a Curl_addrinfo 
linked list for name resolved data, even on hosts/systems with only IPv4
stacks as this simplifies a lot of code.

memory.h is included everywhere for this.

Daniel Stenberg a2ecdf4249 the aprintf() versions now return NULL if _any_ alloc along the way failed, 
previously they could return a piece of the string, making it impossible
for the caller to detect errors.

can use a 64bit type with MSVC that is a long long equivalent.

Daniel Stenberg b2e1bf7e7d No longer support Z as a flag to print size_t, it isn't used by libcurl 
and I doubt anyone else uses it.

Better preprocessor magic for the O flag (for curl_off_t printing) to prevent
compiler warnings.

Daniel Stenberg 4cccceb034 snprintf() made a single-byte buffer overflow, as it could write a zero 
outside its given buffer. Discovered and reported by James Bursa.
